[Vitrine du Cameroun] \u2013\u00a0L\u2019\u00e9v\u00e8nement qui s\u2019est tenu le 28 avril 2023, a r\u00e9uni un peu plus de 60 responsables des m\u00e9dias autour de la th\u00e9matique \u00ab\u00a0d\u00e9fendre la libert\u00e9 d\u2019expression et contrer le discours haineux : Trouver l\u2019\u00e9quilibre\u00a0\u00bb.<\/strong><\/p>

Dans l\u2019optique de doter les journalistes de comp\u00e9tences dans la lutte contre les discours de haines sur l\u2019espace cybern\u00e9tique camerounais, Rainforest Centre for Policy Research, en partenariat avec l\u2019Association Civic Watch, et rOg Agency a organis\u00e9 le 28 avril dernier \u00e0 Yaound\u00e9, un forum des m\u00e9dias pour r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir sur les d\u00e9fis et opportunit\u00e9s auxquels sont confront\u00e9s les m\u00e9dias au Cameroun, en particulier dans le contexte de la crise et des tensions politiques, culturelles et sociales actuelles.<\/p>

Pour l\u2019Ambassadeur d\u2019Allemagne au Cameroun, Corinne Flicke cet \u00e9v\u00e8nement est crucial pour son pays dans un contexte o\u00f9 l\u2019internet et les m\u00e9dias sociaux gagnent en influence.\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0La libert\u00e9 de la presse est la base pour la d\u00e9mocratie. Les fausses informations et les discours de haines peuvent impacter sur la d\u00e9mocratie, des personnes, des groupes\u2026 et m\u00eame tuer une soci\u00e9t\u00e9. Donc il faut trouver l\u2019\u00e9quilibre entre la d\u00e9mocratie et le discours de haine, pour maintenir la paix sociale. Notre gouvernement soutient activement ce projet\u00a0\u00bb,<\/em>\u00a0fait-elle savoir.<\/p>

Dans la pratique, les travaux du 28 avril 2023, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 un moment d\u2019\u00e9change et de partage qui a favoris\u00e9 entre les diff\u00e9rentes parties prenantes, le dialogue, la collaboration et l\u2019action coordonn\u00e9e dans promotion de la libert\u00e9 d\u2019expression, la lutte contre les discours de haine et la d\u00e9sinformation, dans la consolidation de la paix et la promotion du d\u00e9veloppement au Cameroun.<\/p>

De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, le gouvernement a salu\u00e9 l\u2019initiative, invitant toutes les couches sociales \u00e0 faire de ce combat, une affaire de tous pour pr\u00e9server la stabilit\u00e9 du pays.\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0Le minist\u00e8re de la Communication a pris la question \u00e0 bras le corps, en cr\u00e9ant d\u00e9j\u00e0 un organe charg\u00e9 de la lutte contre les discours de haine \u00e0 travers m\u00e9dias. Le Mincom accompagne des initiatives comme celles-ci. D\u2019o\u00f9 sa pr\u00e9sence ici ce jour\u2026 Il est question de combattre ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne et le r\u00e9duire \u00e0 sa plus simple expression, parce qu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019un risque majeur \u00e0 la paix sociale, \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9quilibre qui r\u00e8gne dans nos soci\u00e9t\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Ghyslain Ayina, repr\u00e9sentant du Mincom.<\/p>

Au soir de ces assises, les \u00a0participants au forum des Leaders des m\u00e9dias sur le discours de haine et la libert\u00e9 d\u2019expression, ont pris quelques r\u00e9solutions dont d\u00e9fendre les principes de la d\u00e9mocratie, des droits de l\u2019homme et du pluralisme dans leur travail en tant que journalistes, r\u00e9dacteurs, \u00e9diteurs et organismes de diffusion, non sans le r\u00f4le vital des m\u00e9dias pour le partage de l\u2019information cr\u00e9dible, dans le processus d\u2019\u00e9ducation de masses et l\u2019autonomisation du public, ainsi que dans la promotion du dialogue interculturel, de la tol\u00e9rance et de la compr\u00e9hension mutuelle entre les diff\u00e9rentes communaut\u00e9s.<\/p>

\u00ab\u00a0Nous r\u00e9affirmons notre attachement aux principes de la libert\u00e9 d\u2019expression et d\u2019information, tels qu\u2019ils sont consacr\u00e9s dans la D\u00e9claration universelle des droits de l\u2019homme et dans d\u2019autres accords internationaux. Nous reconnaissons que la libert\u00e9 d\u2019expression est essentielle pour la d\u00e9mocratie, la dignit\u00e9 humaine et le progr\u00e8s social. Nous reconnaissons \u00e9galement notre responsabilit\u00e9 dans la pr\u00e9vention et la lutte contre le discours de haine dans les m\u00e9dias, que nous reconnaissons comme \u00e9tant tout type de communication, par la parole, l\u2019\u00e9criture ou le comportement, qui attaque ou utilise un langage p\u00e9joratif ou discriminatoire \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9gard d\u2019une personne ou d\u2019un groupe en raison de ce qu\u2019ils sont; Autrement dit, sur la base de sa religion, de son ethnie, de sa nationalit\u00e9, de sa race, de sa couleur, de son ascendance, de son sexe ou d\u2019un autre facteur d\u2019identit\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, ont-ils d\u00e9clar\u00e9 dans le communiqu\u00e9 final.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
